I would have times where I would press forward, enough to hide my weaknesses, but when it came to setting and reaching big goals, I found what I am about to teach you as the biggest factor in personal happiness, confidence and success.

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED!

I have a BIG hunch that you do not need another course or coach. Whether it be a lack of belief in self, or just the inability to follow through, you need to save that money and stop trying new courses. The solution lies within you!

 

Our inner bitch (inner critic, anti-self, enemy, etc) is loudest in the areas we are not owning and being aligned with. This critic lives in a world of absolutes, with little room for nuance or gray areas. His/her favorite words are should, always, and never, and blame is his/her operating system. “You’ve failed it, you always do.” “You should just give up already.” “You’re so annoying, no one will ever love you.” “You’re so screwed up, you’ll never be able to help yourself, let alone anybody else.” 

 

Instead of creating a wide and open space for embracing our lives, the inner critic causes us to question our worth and collapse in on ourselves. The voice of compromise becomes the louder voice, and we find ourselves caving to the inner bitch. The one that says “Tomorrow I will do that”, or “next time I will do it”. 

 

Most people are walking around breaking promises and agreements they have made with themselves all day long.

 

“Tonight I am going to make a healthy dinner.”

“On my way home tonight, I will NOT get drive-thru.”

“Tomorrow I will not hit the snooze button.”

“Later today I will call my mom to check on her.”

 

And here's the crazy thing ... I know you want to do the things you say you want to do! You probably have similar conversations to me in your head at night as you fall asleep. If the inner boss is there, she is cheering you on and reminding you how good it feels to show up as your higher self. If the inner bitch is there, she is pointing out all the places you fell short. And if she is like mine, she is usually not very nice about it.  

 

Prior to having this system in my life as a daily practice, execution on things was hit or miss, and my confidence was fleeting. It seemed like Russian roulette with who was showing up- boss or bitch?

So what if I could come up with a way to measure confidence?

 

I mean, we know that confidence is a byproduct of previous performance, so why not measure and manage our word to ourselves along with some guidelines?

 

So I started to do these daily agreements on my own, sharing them on my personal IG for accountability. I really wanted to see if I would feel happier, more confident, and more at peace with myself.

And it worked.

So I shared it with a few clients to see if it would carry over to clients reaching their fat loss goals.

And they loved it.

It got me thinking of the thousands of people that sign up for coaching of some sort or purchase a course, invest the money to do it, write down all the reasons it was important to them, and yet a percentage of them would still struggle to be consistent with keeping their promises and agreements with themselves and follow through.  EVEN WITH CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW.

 

What gives?

 

It’s because the daily agreements that we make run far deeper than the agreement itself. And most of us have not learned this practice. We have watched parents, caretakers and peers say one thing and do another. It’s become a norm of our society, and it’s no wonder we have so many people walking around with fake confidence.
